So I'm thinking about starting another SOIAF game. This would be different in scope than Sky's game, instead focusing on the "Game of Thrones" style of play. The recommendation in the narrator's chapter about letting players control several characters in a book is intriguing, though I am also looking at creating a variety of houses and having one or two players join each one. Either way,t his would be a complicated process it would take me a while to work on. So before I do so, I was wondering if there's enough interest to warrant it. What do you guys think?

Would this be a pbp game or an OpenRPG game? I'd probably be good for the former, but not the later.

Oh pbp definitely. I imagine a lot of the gameplay would be going on in different locations

Assuming that Chris and Sky are still in, Joseph has said he'd like to play and I have a friend from work who's interested. Some more details: there will be two player houses with two players in each (maybe more if more people are interested...). These houses will be more powerful than the ones by the standard rule book, probably just below the level of the major houses (the Freys, Umbers, Karstarks, etc). It will take place shortly before the break out of Robert's Rebellion. Brandon Stark is held prisoner by the king, but his father has not yet arrived. It won't follow the storyline after that point. There will be a major change in the history of the realm up to that point that I'll talk more about later.
The playing style will probably focus more on intrigue and manipulation though there will be plenty of opportunities for fighting and the option to be a commander would not go to waste. There will also be a couple mysteries thrown in.
Due to the nature of the house, everyone will have an automatic status 4 in addition to other points. If anyone really does not want a status 4 talk to me and we'll work something out.

I'm still in. Quick Questions: 1: Do we choose who we get as house-mates? Or will you? Or will it be random?
2: Do we get to make our house(s)?
3: One Character per Player, right?
4: Are Greensight/Third Eye/etc allowed?
5: Do we get chocolate?

1) If two of you come to me and say we want to be in the same house, that would probably be fine with me.
2) Yes, it will be a collaboration between the two players in the house and myself.
3) Yes
4) Yes
5) Eww. Only if you bring it yourself.

Any preferences on location? Not Dorne, KL, wherever the Tyrells live, or Iron Islands probably. I can't guarantee I'll allow it, but any thoughts would be appreciated.

At the moment, my character ideas are still pretty nebulous. The Stormlands would probably be the only region I would rather not be from, with a preferance to either the North or Westerlands (real polar opposites there huh?).
