So, whats still missing? Arcane caster and heal-bot? I could pretty easily make either one work with Maximillian Stennegan, Civil Engineer and Building Inspector extraordinar.

Ignore my previous rant about the Psion and poisons.
I'm now making a Dragon Shaman. Thanks to my Vigor aura, healing will be slightly less important, but it would still be helpful. Although having a Sorcerer or Wizard could also be very interesting...
I'm going to be ok in melee - using a morning star, and got good AC(+1 dex +4 scale mail +3 shield, shield specialization feat)
I mighty pick the Battle Dragon as my totem(It's an alternate totem). It grants Concentration, Diplomacy and Perform as skills. It grants sonic breath and bonuses against fear and charm effects. Sonic breath may not be as flashy as other kinds of damages, but it's ok.
Mainly, I like the Dragon concept - Battle dragons are optimistic, merry, valiant and, something I really like, Neutral Good - I'm not usually too fond of the Lawful Good dragons - well, of the Lawful Good alignment in general, though I might decide to experiment just once....Anyway, it shouldn't take me too much to make a decent background, then I'll send Chris the sheet.

....Maximillian Stennegan, Civil Engineer and Building Inspector extraordinar. will he be inspecting the dungeon for subsidence & dry rot? maybe we should have a health & safety check before we go in!

Clearly it would be a breach of ethics to not report on any such structural insecurities. If the dungeon were to collapse on some hapless adventurer, the City could be found liable!
And a health check would be advised before entering into an ancient, magical, near-abandoned dungeon. Mold and/or other toxins could wreak havoc on a frail constitution.
I thinking I'm going to make a tank-o-matic cleric. They're always fun.

cool is he going to be one of those liberal sit-on-the-fence politically correct clerics who follow an ideal/concept or a fire & brimstone godloving heathen-burning full-on religious nutcase?

Civil engineers are good for ensuring the dungeon does not collapse on Thorin Firebeard, mightiest of warriors!

Just needing character sheets and we can start. I think Joe's pulled out, so that leaves Matt. Hurry up!

Sheetage!
You've short-charged yourself 2 ability points and 4 skill points as far as I can tell, and your AC should be 1 lower. And Search, regrettably, is an Int skill.
Do you want the rest of us to post our sheets Chris?

Good call on the AC and ability scores, Point Buy is the devil. Unfortunatly, all my skills are cross class and Clerics get minimum skill points. D&D is biased against people of faith, it would seem.
The reason I'm placing my character sheet here is that I know of 4 different computers I use on a regular basis. Keep updated sheets with me is a pain.

Oh yes, after playing Iron Heroes, it's a pain to play skill-starved D&D classes... Oh well, don't worry too much Matt, the important thing is to have fun. By the way, on the public posting of sheets, I'd have no problem doing that with mine if anyone wants to see it. OOC-wise, seeing us other sheets would help us a lot(perhaps)building some effective strategies or combos, eheh...

Agreed, D&D needs more skill points. Well, either that or I need to stop playing human rogues with 14+ int. Not being able to do everything better than everyone is a real inconvenience.

Posting your sheets would be handy, might as well follow Matt and use the spam pit for it as well.
And I think I'll switch this to 4e once I get the books, would be a good practice run with it.

Wow. Switching to fourth edition? I'm...very surprised by this, though it might be interesting. I'm somewhat ambivalent about 4E, some things sound nice, some other things...not so much, I'm not usually in favor of "dumbing down"games making them more arcade, but in this case I might be wrong and the game might turn out being funnier. We shall see...
