Thunders of Harta
In the nation of Harta, which command an a strait between great inland sea often named "Vannan Sea" or commonly called "Golden Sea" for short that wash upon many mighty nations and lands and vast Northern Ocean that encircle the continent of Rubena. Also, great river of Tirta flows into the Veasna Strait. Up the river is great islands which grew many species and drugs. These are sold to merchants and suppliers which are then exported across the world.
Sadly, in the distant past, a powerful Noushan Empire from distant continent of Omid heard about this and sent an envoy and traders to the Vannan Empire that once had Veasna Strait in it grip. So nervous and suspicious of this strange Empire that the Vannan Emperor have an envoy and traders executed. This was seen as a grievous discourtesy to Noushan Empire. This led the Noushan Emperor to attack the Vannan Empire.
The Noushans crossed the Veasna Strait, coming into the Vannan Empire. The cities of the Veasna Strait were visited by total destruction and general population were massacred. In this huge war spanning over a fifth of Rubena, lasting for twelve years, a huge Vannan Empire was destroyed utterly. The wealthy Vannan Island was utterly decimated, plagued by dark and monstrous creatures perhaps by last desperate gamble by it mages, ending the peace that once command the Golden Sea.
The major rivals were horrified by Noushans' warring and invasions that are approaching their borders so they went for pre-emptive attacks. Noushans, facing three-front war, battling the three main rivals of Vannan Empire. Heartened by these attempts to fighting Noushan, more and more nations was considering sending forces to repel the invaders. Then Noushans suddenly stopped fighting and within short period of time, they retreated through the Veasna Strait, leaving behind huge amount of shattered lands which then suddenly seized by rivals of defunct Vannan Empire and new nations that risen from it ashes. Harta was one of them.
A new nation of Harta risen by motley survivors that fled into perilous Tirtan Jungle. It was considered a small blessing that Noushans did not send a force up the Tirta River. Otherwise, there is little doubt that survivors would be massacred as well. Nevertheless, a Kingdom of Harta was then firmly established among the chaos of the Vannan End. Still, Harta was not big as it was before the Noushans' arrivals as Tirtan Jungle retook vast unpopulated lands into earthy growth. It is often rumoured that hidden among these perilous Tirtan Jungle, there is great city that was full of treasures.
Harta is a large city that is positioned on vast island located at the mouth of the Tirta River, reliant on ever-ending flow of trade between strait, river and cities themselves. Harta is under rule of it ancient childless king and the Kingdom command Harta itself, three Northern cities and four Southern cities. It is often said that there is a King and his eight Masters in the throne room. Currently, there is a small dispute over who is to succeed to the throne with each city having their own preferred candidate to the throne.
