22 February 227 - The party set sail from Malagen.
14 March 227 - The party are blown off course by a storm and shipwrecked off the Forlorn Coast. They stumble onto the kidnapping of Ealdorman Balnoth of Stowecott, held prisoner at the House on Helven Hill, and rescue him.
Adventure II - The Abduction of Synne
19 March 227 - The party and Ealdorman Balnoth leave Stowecott for the Middlemere Festival.
21 March 227 - The party rest for the night in the village of Wolstoc. Renweard's daughter Synne is abducted from their manor.
22 March 227 - The Middlemere Festival. The party are hired to rescue the kidnapped noblewoman, Synne, and are attacked by headlesses while on the road to Cranleaht.
23 March 227 - The party reach Cranleaht at mid-day, and Ealdorman Durwyn asks them to hunt for a spy for the bandits. At the Root and Branch, Coelhere attempts to embroil the party in a scheme, but they turn on him in disgust. Interrogating Coelhere, they learn that the spy is most likely Deor, the brother of the owner of the Old Oak. Deor tells them that Synne has been abducted by a bandit called Steapa, who has most likely fled to his cousin in the village of Cadonstoc.
26 March 227 - The party arrive in Cadonstoc and find Synne and Steapa hiding in a barn. They convince Synne to return with them.
29 March 227 - The party arrive back in Cranleaht.
30 March 227 - The party leave Cranleaht with Dunstan and Synne. They arrive back at the Werling estate and return Synne to her father, and pass on Ealdorman Durwyn's proposal that Synne and Dunstan should marry.
Adventure III - The Curse of the Plague Fields
7 April 227 - The party speak to Ceorlben, the brother of the scholar Dunstan. They learn Dunstan vanished in the Plague Fields shortly after researching the history of the Virian Way in Palania, and he may have been persuaded by a Malabite paladin named Garmund.
8 April 227 - The party meet Arianhod, who is seeking Garmund. They travel into the Plague Fields following Dunstan and Garmund's path, and reach the ruined village of Stanburn near to midnight.
9 April 227 - The party battle the undead at Stanburn, and continue on into the Plague Fields. They find the wight paladin Garmund at a runestone on the north bank of the Belas. Convincing him of what has happened, Garmund begs them to burn him and release his soul. The party continue on towards Bexcheap in pursuit of Dunstan.
10 April 227 - The party arrive in Bexcheap. They confront and destroy the wight Halig, his horde of undead children, and the zombie of Dunstan that was under Halig's thrall. Within the ruined farmhouse, they discover a grimoire, scrolls apparently written by the Prophet, and documents suggestive of the existence of a Virian sect they have never heard of before.
13 April 227 - The party leave the Plague Fields and return to the Werling estate. Synne asks them to come to live with her and Dunstan in Phalen, to convince her father to go ahead with the marriage plan.
Adventure IV - Off to See the Wizard
29 April 227 - The party set out on the road to Stencumb.
30 April 227 - The party reach Aldastoc and purchase Apocrypha of the Ancients from Everild.
2 May 227 - The party encounter Lady Kasyra, emissary of the King of South Fryddenland.
3 May 227 - The party arrive in Wihthrcg, and set out with Godwin to slay a cyclops.
4 May 227 - In the early hours, the party learn of Godwin's plan to bring ruin to the Order of the Penitent Sons.
5 May 227 - The party arrive late in Stencumb, and speak to Deogol.
6 May 227 - At Deogol's behest, the party recover mandrake roots from the ruined village of Granstede.
7 May 227 - The party return to Stencumb amidst the contests for Somerild's hand. Deogol invites Leofric to join the Conclave.
14 May 227 - The party arrive back at the Werling estate.
Adventure V - The Depredations of Eada the Red
19 May 227 - The party set out for Bluebrycg.
20 May 227 - The party arrive in Bluebrycg and speak to Idmaer. They coerce information from Eada's former contact Grandison, then meet up with Deor who has moved to Bluebrycg.
21 May 227 - Deor discovers that one of Eada's confidants, Stanflede, is in disguise as a merchant's clerk. The party fight off an attack, killing Coelhere and Wigred. They also assist Eada the Red in framing the criminal Lindhard for a murder.
24 May 227 - The party arrive back at the Werling estate. Tole leaves the group.
Adventure VI - Death Do Us Part
30 May 227 - The party go on a hunt with Synne and Lord Renweard.
1 June 227 - Synne and Dunstan's wedding. The party receive a message that Ealdorman Balnoth has been arrested for the murder of Svari's husband Eldrid. The party set out for Stowecott.
3 June 227 - After a day and a half's hard ride, the party arrive in Stowecott and find Eldrid and Andwaru's kinsmen outside of Svari's farm. Hogar and Arianhod win a trial by combat and force them to leave. The party find signs that Balnoth's study has been broken into, and these lead them to the ruins of the fortress of Cenhyrst.
4 June 227 - Shortly after midnight, the party battle dragonspawn in the ruins of Cenhyrst. Finding evidence that the murderer and bandits have fled north, they track them to a waterfall on the north bank of the river. At the waterfall, they meet Estra of the Soiled Sisters, who was also tracking the murderer. They battle the bandits at the waterfall and capture the murderer, Scand. They return with Scand to Stowecott.
5 June 227 - Lord Attor agrees to spare Scand's life in exchange for information. Balnoth is proven innocent and released, but agrees to resign as Ealdorman of Stowecott. Scand informs Attor, Balnoth and the party that he was hired by Cynegels, but that someone else was involved in the plot. Balnoth and the party raid Cynegels' estate to try to discover the identity of his co-conspirator. Cynegels confesses to plotting with the sellsword Freawyn, who is truly Leof of Rulburna. Balnoth kills Cynegels.
9 June 227 - The party return to Lord Renweard's estate with Balnoth.
10 June 227 - The party set out for Phalen with Dunstan and Synne.
21 June 227 - The party arrive in Phalen.
Adventure VII - An Ancient Cure
5 August 227 - The party set out for Mollenmere.
11 August 227 - The party finish the first leg of their journey and arrive in Aldastoc by Bluebrycg.
12 August 227 - The party join up with Ordlaf's carvan, en route to Anderfels by the border with Mollenmere.
19 August 227 - The party arrive in Anderfels.
20 August 227 - The party sets out into Mollenmere.
21 August 227 - The weather begins to turn and there is a heavy downpour.
22 August 227 - The storm continues. After a brief attempt to continue on, the party decide to make camp until the weather clears up.
24 August 227 - Edmund begins to suffer from Mollenmere fever.
26 August 227 - As the storm clears, the party are attacked in their camp by giant lizards.
29 August 227 - Edmund recovers enough for the party to depart.
6 September 227 - The party reach Terinwick, on the shore of the Mere.
12 September 227 - The party reach Skalcotte.
13 September 227 - The party arrive in Hathenwell, to find that the village is under quarantine due to the Krygarlander refugees nearby. They speak to Baylor of the Stendling clan about the Forerunner ruin, learning its location. They also speak to Caronar at the Krygarlander refugee camp.
14 September 227 - After defeating a group of Vile Children, the party arrive at the Forerunner ruins. They encounter Mother Tender and her band, driving them out of the ruins. They then battle the sorcerer Sihtric and his elementals, destroying them and taking possession of the circle of runestones below the ruins.
20 September 227 - Leofric learns the ritual to cleanse the runestones of the Plague Fields.
22 October 227 - The party arrive back in Phalen.
Adventure VIII - The Heart's Fires
23 October 227 - Hogar's birthday.
5 November 227 - The party speak to Medwin about the lost expedition.
8 November 227 - The party sets off for Coelney with Captain Beornoth.
14 November 227 - The party rescue Maccus, who had shipwrecked on a tiny island three months before.
16 November 227 - The party arrives in Cloppney.
18 November 227 - The party arrives in Fossenden and hear of problems with gibberlings locally. The party track down the gibberling lair and slay the brood mother. They discover a journal there showing the gibberlings' water has been magically treated to make them more aggressive.
19 November 227 - The party return to Fossenden.
20 November 227 - The party set out for Sharney.
23 November 227 - The party arrives in Cyningas and meet with Felgild. They agree to assist in a scheme to install Guthafyr the Heartless as King of Bartholme. They set off at night and meet with Guthafyr on a small island off Sharney.
24 November 227 - On the way to Bartholme, the party and Guthafyr are ambushed by a group of Masked Ones.
25 November 227 - The party arrive in Tarithdun. After evading huge swarms of leeches, they arrive at the Stone of Lanfranc and defeat a group of possessed animals. Guthafyr and the party drive the spirits out of the Stone of Lanfranc.
30 November 227 - Guthafyr receives word from Felgild that Odelyn has been located on Sharney. The party take their leave of Guthafyr and agree to deliver a message for him to the Great Chapel in Phalen.
2 December 227 - The party arrive back on Sharney and meet with Lucan. They are startled to learn he is a vampire, but are forced to promise to keep this secret. Lucan reunites them with Odelyn and explains that one of the expedition betrayed them and is now on Tisseney.
5 December 227 - The party arrive on Tisseney, feigning to be slavers.
6 December 227 - The party infiltrate the pirate fortress on Tisseney and discover that Byrtwald betrayed the expedition for a leadership position among the pirates. The party kill Byrtwald and rescue Freod, while Felgild's men attack the docks. Felgild is slain.
7 December 227 - The pirates surrender and hand over their leader, the Masked One Merefin, to the party.
10 December 227 - After returning to Sharney, the party meet with Lucan and King Vifil and learn of Aescwine's reappearance on Great Esterness and his plot to create a 'perfect race'.
Adventure IX - Divine Blood
16 December 227 - The winter storms lift. Arianhod, Odelyn, and Freod depart, planning to set back to the mainland, while the party prepare to push on to Great Esterness.
24 December 227 - The party arrive at Lyngmouth.
26 December 227 - After travelling overland, the party arrive at Ashingdon and witness the rekindling of a Heartfire. They learn that the Masked One Byrnstan is involved with Aescwine's plot.
27 December 227 - Believing them to be mercenaries, Byrnstan sends the party north to assist Wusfrea in wiping out a goblin clan.
1 January 228 - The party meet with Wusfrea. Maccus seduces Wusfrea and steals documents showing that Aescwine's plan involves cross-breeding humans and goblins. The party ambush and kill Wusfrea.
2 January 228 - Leofric is ill after the party leave Wusfrea's camp in the night.
3 January 228 - The party set out for Hylltoft. Byrnstan contacts Edmund by thoughtspeech, but Edmund deceives him.
9 January 228 - The party arrive at Hylltoft. After defeating a group of undead guarding the surface, the party descend into the trap-filled depths of Hylltoft. They encounter Byrnstan's daughter Vira, and together they make their way to the hidden repository of scrolls beneath Hylltoft.
10 January 228 - The pary and Vira are able to uncover information suggesting that the Never-Child's birthplace is near the ruins of the village of Lowham, in the northeast of Great Esterness. Byrnstan contacts Vira by thoughtspeech and informs her of the party's treachery, but the party allow her to go without harm.
13 January 228 - The party rendezvous with Germund.
16 January 228 - The party's ship arrives near Lowham. They are able to scout out the location of Aescwine's base nearby, and sneak in under cover of attack by Germund. The party find Randwulf, Esmon, and Scrella. While Randwulf leads the freed slaves against the remaining garrison, the party descend towards the Great Heartfire, killing the Never-Children guarding the path. The party confront and kill Aescwine and the leaders of the Never-Children in battle before the Great Heartfire, then establish a connection to the Heartfire and enter the void.
19 January 228 - In the void, the party undo Aescwine's work and encounter transcendent forces. They return to the physical world to find that the Great Heartfire has been extinguished.
22 January 228 - The party set sail from Great Esterness.
8 February 228 - After a long voyage, the party arrive back in Phalen with Maccus, Esmon, and Scrella.
Adventure X - These Hallowed Remains
23 February 228 - The party visit the Great Chapel. Goldwyne tries to pick Leofric's pocket on the way, but is caught. The party begin to plan to build shelter for the relief of the Phalen poor. At the Great Chapel, Stilwell explains that the Church believes that Saint Thenghelm may have met his end in the vicinity of Waldtun.
24 February 228 - After speaking to Goldwyne and Maccus, the party set out on their road north.
27 February 228 - The party stop in Tarnemuthe and guest with Othili and Benoic.
5 March 228 - After crossing the river at Saltanstede, the party arrive in Prestenbroc and speak to Gurthen.
6 March 228 - The party set out from Prestenbroc.
11 March 228 - The party encounter a group of refugees who have fled from Reptun. They begin to escort them to Waldtun, but are attacked by elves in the night.
12 March 228 - The party discovers that the ranger Snelund had stolen a wand from the elves, which may have caused their attack. Snelund gives them the wand.
14 March 228 - The party arrive in Waldtun and speak to Farmon and Claennis. Farmon agrees to help the party on the condition that they provide him with the truth of what happened to Saint Thenghelm, to which they agree. Farmon produces a copy of the Theophany containing a secret map of the stars, which he believes is part of a set. Claennis realises she possessed another one of the set, which had been left behind in Reptun.
15 March 228 - The party perform a rite to return the stolen wand to the elves and seek peace.
19 March 228 - The party arrive in Reptun. They recover Claennis' Theophany and speak to an elf there, who tells them the elves have claimed Reptun and humans should leave the forest.
23 March 228 - The party reach Waldtun.
24 March 228 - The third Theophany arrives from Norbrycg. Claennis, Farmon and the party discover that the place they seek is approximately one-third of the way between Waldtun and Weltry, on the edge of the Great Forest.
28 March 228 - After a lengthy search, the party discover the site indicated in the star map. They find a secret passage in a pool which leads to an underground complex. They find that this was the home of the Changers, the same sect they had discovered in Bexcheap, who were founded by the Prophet's kinswoman Diera before she was slain in battle. After defeating an aranea and a group of giant spiders, they enter the central compound and discover that Saint Thenghelm had infiltrated and betrayed the Changers, attacking with a group of mercenaries and a cadre of spellcasting Virians. They learn that Diera was slain in the battle and Saint Thenghelm sacrificed himself to seal a powerful source of magic, which Diera named a Wyrd, which was very similar to that they had found at the Great Heartfire.
1 April 228 - The party return to Waldtun and speak to Farmon and Claennis. They ask Farmon to research into whether any Changers may have survived.
8 April 228 - The party return to Prestenbroc and return the Ring of Saint Thenghelm. They tell the Church only some of what they found about the saint and the Changers.
18 April 228 - The party return to Phalen and meet with representatives of the Council.
Adventure XI - The Kalmar Union
1 May 228 - The Council urge the party to head to Wunfjorthr, to speak to Lady Sarina about a possible defector from the Kalmar Isles in the area. The Council tell the party they plan to attack the northern isle of Sokholm, held by the necromancer Ragnhild.
5 May 228 - The party arrive in Wunfjorthr and meet with Lady Sarina. She explains that Daelric, one of Ragnhild's lieutenants, appears to be taking refuge amongst a local mystery cult, the Whirlers.
7 May 228 - The party infiltrate the Whirlers and are able to arrange a meeting with Daelric, who offers them information in exchange for a pardon for his crimes.
9 May 228 - The party set out from Wunfjorthr and have a war council with Councillor Untrim, Ser Kennald, Deoneath and Scirman.
11 May 228 - In the night, the party feel a surge in the Void. Sigrun, in Phalen, contacts Leofric telepathically to say she had felt the same thing.
13 May 228 - The party arrive on Sokholm. They sneak forward with the Undercity Watch and discover a secret passage into Sokholm Keep. Destroying the undead guardians of the passage, they are able to make their way up into the Keep. The party and the Undercity Watch battle against Ragnhild, killing the necromancer, her cyclopean bodyguard, and many of her undead servants.
14 May 228 - The greenwife Ealyth flees from the orcs and brings news of a coming army to Sokholm. As they wait for reinforcements, the party defend the Keep from a force led by the orc Bakik. The party trick and kill the orc, though the sally gate suffers significant damage.
15 May 228 - The Council fleet led by Councillor Untrim arrives, however the Bluebrycg contingent has been suspiciously delayed. Plafraith's army arrives.
16 May 228 - In the night, Plafraith's army assaults the Keep. Councillor Untrim is slain at the main gate, but the attack is repelled. The werewolf Gelundi and the gobin Flathriss are killed, however Plafraith flees south.
17 May 228 - The Bluebrycg ships arrive and their captain, Herebald, attempts to take control of Sokholm. The party are able to foil this attempt, and Ser Kennald is named the new commander in Sokholm.
21 May 228 - The party depart from Kalmar.
Adventure XII - A Bloody Message
26 May 228 - The party arrive back in Phalen.
20 July 228 - Edmund wins a competition held by the Bard's College.
28 August 228 - The party receive word of Ealdorman Durwyn's death.
6 September 228 - The party arrive in Cranleaht for Ealdorman Durwyn's funeral. They meet Mildryth of clan Larring and Oswine of clan Candering, and agree to investigate the suspicious deaths of their relatives.
14 September 228 - The party return to Phalen to find that Sinley of the Immering clan, their principal suspect, has also been murdered.
15 September 228 - The party speak to Sinley's seneschal, Dunnere, who lies about not knowing the mysterious messenger. The party attend the banquet held in Sinley's honour by his friend Ingwulf of the Adalphing clan. At the banquet, one of the guests is murdered in the same manner as Sinley. The party chase after the murderer, however they are attacked by orcs and goblins that appear to be in league with the killer. After the battle, they discover that the murderer had fled into the Undercity.
16 September 228 - The party speak to Deoneath, who tells them of disappearances around the docks thought to be linked to slavers in the Undercity. Hogar visits the Bloodied Eye chapterhouse and learns that Sinley and Ailwin were each expelled from the Brotherhood for participating in a massacre. In the night, the party follow the messenger, Kenric, into the Undercity and capture him. They learn that he and his company were hired by Captain Drefen to seek out blood magic, but that the murders of Sinley and Ailwin were carried out by someone else. The party move to intercept the remainder of Kenric's companions, and arrive just in time to foil the assassination attempt by Odalric, who proves to be the man who killed Ailwin at Ingwulf's banquet. Interrogating him, they learn he is a survivor of the massacre carried out by Captain Drefen. After speaking to Kenric's companions, they discover that Odalric's compatriots could be in a hidden fane in the Undercity.
17 September 228 - In the early hours of the morning, Deoneath and the party enter the Undercity. Locating the Burrowed Fane, they battle a mixed group of orcs, goblins, and survivors of the eastern massacres. They win the battle, but discover that the main part of the survivors' forces have gone above to attack the Bloodied Eye Brotherhood. Rushing back to the surface, they discover the Brotherhood compound is under attack, and they join in the battle against the forces of Cynwise, leader of the survivors. Cynwise is slain in the fighting, along with many Brothers.
Adventure XIII - The Old Fort
7 October 228 - The party sets out from Phalen.
18 October 228 - The party arrives in Prestenbroc and meets with Ser Wulfcytel and the other knights of the Silvered Blade.
22 October 228 - The men of Weltry meet up with the Virian forces.
24 October 228 - The Virian forces arrive at the old fortress and invest it with the party's help.
25 October 228 - In the early hours of the morning, the Virian forces assault the fortress, and the party move in from the west to kill the dragonspawn commander. The party slay the dragonspawn leader after a long fight and the Virian forces successfully capture the fort.
20 November 228 - The party arrive back at Phalen.
23 November 228 - Balnoth comes to visit.
Adventure XIV - Treason's Reasons
14 December 228 - The bard Rendel unsuccessfully tries to convince the party to abandon their expedition to Gundergrad.
16 December 228 - The party board a ship to Chepworth.
22 December 228 - The party arrive in Chepworth and speak to Lord Orvyn.
23 December 228 - The party investigate in Chepworth, uncovering a rumour that the Sword Darkling Gleam had been found in the time of Caragaur's attack.
25 December 228 - The party convince Balther of the Folwing clan to asssist them. In his library, they learn that Thunor's last known location, Unterholz, was in the southeast of Gundergrad in territory now held by dragonspawn.
26 December 228 - The party undertake an exepdition to the wind-wracked isle of Hythick.
29 December 228 - The Hythick expedition ends, with the party recovering books and scrolls from a cellar in a ruined manor house. They learn that the man who had discovered Darkling Gleam had been named Esegar, originally from a village not far from Alhausen.
2 January 229 - The party make to Baldhofen and enlist the help of the Ealdorman, Sigdag. They learn that Esegar was apparently slain in combat by the village of Gastonstadt, and decide to head there to investigate.
3 January 229 - The party leave Baldhofen.
4 January 229 - Edmund performs in Stanlaw, the party learn information about Gastonstadt.
6 January 229 - The party are caught in a snowstorm on the road to Gastonstadt.
7 January 229 - The party arrive in the village of Swinhurst, saving a local man who falls through an icy lake. The Ealdorman asks the party to entreat with the village's rivals in Oberath for food and medicine.
9 January 229 - The party successfully convince the people of Oberath to assist Swinhurst.
10 January 229 - The party arrive in Gastonstadt and seek information about the legend of Esegar.
11 January 229 - In the night, Thegns of the Ealdorman of Gastonstadt arrive with a crowd and try to pressure the party to leave. In the morning, the party learn that Darkling Gleam may be in a nearby barrow and go to investigate. The party are attacked by the barrow's spirit guardians, but manage to defeat them and make their way to the lower levels. They drive out the vengeful spirit of King Ulfberht and recover the reforged Darkling Gleam from his tomb.
12 January 229 - After returning to Gastonstadt, the party learn that Darkling Gleam was found near the ruined village of Alhausen.
14 January 229 - The party arrive back in Oberath. Beomund begins to reforge the damaged pieces of Darkling Gleam.
16 January 229 - The party set out from Oberath.
23 January 229 - The party arrive in Denstede, and meet up with a merchant with whom they travel towards Gunderbrycg.
26 January 229 - The Gunderbrycg region is shaken by an earthquake. The party are caught in the quake, but avoid serious injury.
27 January 229 - The party arrive in Gunderbrycg and are conscripted to assist in the relief effort.
30 January 229 - After finishing up in Gunderbrycg, the party set out towards Bradstanhope, in the southern borderlands.
31 January 229 - Not far from Bradstanhope, the party come across a mine shaft which has collapsed, trapping several men led by Cynidr of the Maething clan inside. They work through the night to assist. When inside the mine, they become suspicious and investigate, and find a dragonspawn banner in a hidden chamber.
1 February 229 - The party speak to Lord Swefred of the Maethings and learn of the tribute Bradstanhope pays to the dragonspawn.
2 February 229 - The party enter the lands of the dragonspawn.
3 February 229 - After sneaking past several fortifications, the party enter a hidden cave by a dragonspawn settlement to rest.
4 February 229 - The party head out again in the snow and make their way south.
6 February 229 - The party arrive at a ruined fort and battle a group of dragonspawn.
8 February 229 - The party arrives at the Algarth forest and begins searching for clues of Thunor's resting place. They discover that there are a pair of manticores in the region, but avoid them.
11 February 229 - The party begin to discover coins dating to the rebellion, and then a hidden cave containing the remains of several soldiers. They decode a journal indicating that one was a loyalist commander leading the siege against Thunor at Unterholz. After narrowly avoiding another encounter with the manticores, they defeat a group of giant beetles and then make their way below, finding the remains of several people, including possibly Thunor, as well as documents with more details of the revolt.
22 February 229 - The party arrive in Wihthafen and await a ship to take them back to Phalen.
28 February 229 - Before they can set sail, the party receive a message from Balnoth urging them to speak to a friend of his in Aciness, about a battle that had been witnessed between two groups of spellcasting Virians.
Adventure XV - Hide and Seek
4 March 229 - The party arrive in Aciness to find that Balnoth's friend, Madulf, is organising a hunt and cannot speak to them that day. The party are invited on the hunt.
5 March 229 - During Madulf's hunt, an assassin sent by Lord Orvyn fires a poisoned arrow at Leofric. The party are able to thwart the attempt. Later, they speak to Madulf's servant and learn more about the battle he had witnessed.
10 March 229 - The party arrive back in Wihthafen and make for Ashincotte.
14 March 229 - On the road, a group of men, most likely bandits, are found watching the party, but avoid direct contact.
16 March 229 - The party arrive in Ashincotte and learn that the group of knights are known locally, and are most likely based somewhere around Klauberg. They also learn that a woman has been in Ashincotte recently looking for the knights. After bribing the corrupt bailiff, Walden, they learn that a fisherwoman called Alfwen has been seen with the knights before. The party confront her and discover she is a spy, whose brother, Oeric, is one of the knights.
17 March 229 - The party speak to the healer, Freol, and learn of the confrontation between himself and Erlene. The party set out on Erlene's trail towards the ruins of Nanstetten.
18 March 229 - The party speak to a shepherd who says a group of knights had recently passed by, also seeking Erlene.
21 March 229 - The party narrowly avoid being trapped by a group of bandits.
23 March 229 - The party catch up to Erlene just as she is being encircled by the pursuing knights. The party assist her in defeating them. They learn that the knights are of an order called the Tainted Ones, and their Grandmaster, Dryn, has abducted several Changer women to breed an heir of the Prophet's blood. At Erlene's suggestion, the party decide to enlist the aid of the Ashincotte bandits in attacking the Tainted Ones.
24 March 229 - The party arrive in the village of Ranmouth and hatch a plot with the bandit Unferth to unseat the current bandit chief, Colman, who is in league with the Tainted Ones.
25 March 229 - The party head to Blaeringe, hoping to enlist the aid of the village headman Calemund. While they are there, they become suspicious of a man who speaks to them, who calls himself 'Rendel'. The party follow and capture him and discover he is Colman's torturer and right hand man, Ekkard. They hand Ekkard over to Calemund and persuade him to join in the plot against Colman.
28 March 229 - Colman, tricked by a letter in Ekkard's hand, is ambushed by Unferth, Calemund, and the party. Ekkard is executed, and Colman slain in the ambush. Calemund becomes the new bandit chief.
4 April 229 - With a force of bandits in tow, the party come near to the Tainted Ones tower. A force of knights comes out to meet the bandits and the party and Erlene slip ahead to attack the tower. The party scale the tower and attack, killing Grandmaster Dryn and rescuing the captive Changers. Erlene tells the party a secret. With help from Hogar, Saegif aborts Dryn's child.
20 April 229 - The party arrive in the Duntham and meet the Elders of the village. They agree to contact the Elders of the other Changer villages about the plan to cleanse the Plague Fields.
29 April 229 - The Elders agree to assist the party in their job. A dozen from amongst the Changer people are selected to accompany the party.
19 May 229 - The party arrive back in Phalen.
Adventure XVI - Purity
6 June 229 - The party meets with the Conclave to plan the cleansing of the Plague Fields.
8 June 229 - The party arrive at Wyrdhyrst and find a force of Virians from Prestenbroc opposite the larger Council army. The party parley unsuccessfully with the leader of the Virians, Rector Bryning, and then continue on their road north.
13 June 229 - The party reach the Bluebrycg camp just north of the Wapanstede ruins. They meet with Ealdorman Heorot and defuse a dangerous situation with the nearby Virian encampment.
14 June 229 - The Virians by the Bluebrycg camp withdraw.
19 June 229 - The Council forces of Phalen, Bluebrycg and Middlemere enter the Plague Fields.
20 June 229 - The Council forces of Bluebrycg enter the Plague Fields. Shortly afterwards, the party sets out for the Wapanstede runestone. Late into the evening, with all the cleansing forces in place, the party and their group attack the undead at the Wapanstede stone. After cleansing the stone there, the party are informed that a group of knights are riding hard towards the Stanfax runestone. Achawyn the druid arrives and transforms the party into birds so they can fly to the relief of Stanfax. They confront the Virian knight, Ser Aenhar, and discover he was placed under a spell of enslavement. The party are able to dispel the magic and prepare to move on to the Wapanstede ruins.
21 June 229 - In the early hours of the morning, the party sneak into Wapanstede and make for the Tower of the Bells. Ringing the bells as a distraction, they then move on to the Temple of Osoltan. After defeating the undead guardians of the Temple, they discover that this was the site where the curse was spoken. Leofric is able to create a magical connection to Ealdorman Horsa, learning he is beneath Heferth's Library. The party find a secret passage under Osildara's Sepulchre and begin to make their way towards Horsa, bypassing a number of traps and defeating a group of wights. While battle is joined between the forces of the Council and the undead east of Wapanstede, the party confront Ealdorman Horsa and destroy him, lifting the curse from the Plague Fields.
04 July 229 - The party receive a message from the Church summoning them to Phalen to answer charges of blasphemy and sorcery.
Adventure XVII - Lost and Found
14 July 229 - The party meet with the representatives of the Church and admit they are sorcerers. Father Ingilam warns they will face the legal penalty if they return to Gastony. The party present the scrolls they found in Bexcheap and Wulfnoth reveals himself as a descendant of the Prophet. They begin negotiations to send the scrolls to Gastony for authentication.
25 August 229 - The party receive a message from a man called Daghard, asking them to meet with him in the Lands of the Lost and intimating he has information about the Tainted Ones.
28 August 229 - The party set sail from Phalen on the Shining Star.
10 September 229 - The Shining Star is attacked by goblin pirates on the Long Shore. The Star is able to prevail, and on capturing the shaman of the goblins, learn that the pirates are passed information about vulnerable ships by the villagers of Telsey on the Long Shore.
15 September 229 - The party arrive in Huncestre and find a ship to take them the rest of the way to the Lost-Lands.
19 September 229 - The party arrive in Olningas.
21 September 229 - The party reach Gerhurst. They speak to Hathcyn, a friend of Daghard's, to find that he has gone missing.
22 September 229 - On the road to Shepwich, the party find a group of dragonspawn and humans working together, moving towards the ruined town of Keldenby. The party defeat this group and interrogate the survivors, finding that Keldenby has been occupied by a vampire.
23 September 229 - In Keldenby, the party see a vision of the town's brutal destruction, carried out by 'Lord Wiergils', who they realise was Captain Drefen. They confront the vampire master of Keldenby, Siglin, and destroy him. They rescue Mildoina, who tells them that Daghard has been killed but is able to recover his notes which suggest the crown of Ceafor is in a Forerunner ruin northeast of Wirtingas. They read the vampire's journal, discovering he was once one of Drefen's men before being turned, and that his vampiric sire was also responsible for turning Lucan.
28 September 229 - The party arrive in Swinforth. They are invited to meet with a woman to perform a task that would only be of interest to Virians, but this proves to be a trap.
29 September 229 - The party are escorted from Swinforth, fined, and warned to never return.
03 October 229 - The party arrive in Ceaforth and learn that the warlord Aethelwulf's army is on the move and heading for Ceaforth, having recently destroyed a dragonspawn force.
05 October 229 - The party climb into the Old Mountains. At night, they spot a man who appears to be a Virian watching them, but he flees when they invite him to join them.
06 October 229 - The party enter Ceafor's tomb and are able to recover the crown and sceptre, defeating the powerful sentinels guarding the tomb.
08 October 229 - While riding back towards Ceaforth, the party encounter a group of people by a covered wagon. Going to speak to them, the travellers reveal themselves as Tainted Ones. They allow the party to speak to a prisoner, who is a cousin of Aethelwulf's who proves to be a Changer. The Tainted Ones offer the party the chance to join the Order. On refusing, they challenge the group to a fight to the death. The party prevail and rescue Aethelwulf's cousin Ecgfrith.
09 October 229 - The party meet with Aethelwulf and give him Ceafor's regalia. Aethelwulf gives the party a message to pass to the Changers in Bexcheap.
22 October 229 - The party arrive back in Olningas and await a ship.
28 October 229 - A ship arrives in Olningas, bearing the news that Huncestre was taken by treachery and that Captain Drefen has reemerged in the Long Shore.
Adventure XVIII - Blood Feud
6 November 229 - The party arrive in the Long Shore. They receive a telepathic message to say that the Bloodied Eyes are gathering at the manor of an ally, Lord Oswold, on 17 November.
7 November 229 - The party learn that the Ealdorman of Tanring will be hosting a banquet the next day, and emissaries from Eahfrid and Drefen will be present. The party attend the banquet and persuade the Ealdorman not to ally with Huncestre. At the banquet, the party learn from Saegar of the Pothring clan that Drefen's men had taken an abandoned tower not far from Pothring manor.
8 November 229 - The party travel to Pothring with Saegar.
9 November 229 - The party travels into the woods and sneak up on the tower. They defeat Drefen's men there, and uncover a blood magic forge beneath the tower.
14 November 229 - The party receive another telepathic message to say that Lord Oswold's manor is now being besieged by the Ealdorman of Malhurst, Osgar.
16 November 229 - The party arrive in Malhurst and are able to arrange a meeting with Ealdorman Osgar, persuading him to lift the siege. The Bloodied Eyes reveal a plan to trap Drefen in Aelswyth Head by convincing the Ealdorman of Lyngfold to switch sides.
17 November 229 - In Lyngfold, the party hear that the young girl Hunburg of the Hemming clan is a close friend of the Ealdorman's daughter who has not been seen. Edmund and Beomund sneak into the manor to speak to her and discover the location of the Ealdorman's children. They learn that Burchwenn is being held near the village of Parhurst, while Alred the Younger is held in the fortress of Elsgarth. The Bloodied Eyes ask the party to travel to Elsgarth to rescue Alred.
18 November 229 - The party leave Lyngfold and double back to make for Elsgarth by stealth.
22 November 229 - The party arrive at Elsgarth and are able to sneak in at night, rescuing Alred. Elsewhere, the Bloodied Eyes rescue Burchwenn, but Osfrid is killed. The party escape south and take shelter along the coasts of Parlaw and Aellington.
2 December 229 - The party arrive back at the Bloodied Eyes' camp after being picked up by boat.
3 December 229 - Burchwenn arrives at the camp. Ealdorman Alred switches sides and kills Drefen's men in Lyngfold.
4 December 229 - The Bloodied Eyes and the men of Malhurst and Lyngfold attack one of Drefen's camps, dealing heavy casualties.
9 December 229 - The party arrive in Esterpool as messengers and convince Ealdorman Leuthere to support a joint campaign against Drefen.
13 December 229 - Leuthere and the party arrive at Wainleigh.
14 December 229 - In the early hours of the morning, Ealdorman Ethbin of Tolwick betrays the Brotherhood. The forces of Tolwick, along with a detachment of Drefen's men, attack the allied forces and try to kill Ealdorman Leuthere. The party are able to rescue Leuthere and kill Fulbert, the Bloodguard leading the attack.
15 December 229 - A group of horsemen led by Estmar of Wihtpool defect from Drefen's army. He brings with him stolen information seemingly detailing Drefen's battle plans, however Leuthere and the party are able to determine that Drefen deliberately allowed Estmar to defect and bring incorrect information with him.
17 December 229 - The allied armies approach Brindlepool, where Drefen is already encamped.
18 December 229 - The first day of the battle of Brindlepool. The allied forces aim to avoid decisive engagement until they can be joined by reinforcements sent by Wynflaed of Esterpool. The Ealdorman of Parlaw is seriously wounded by Acwulf of the Bloodguard. Ealdorman Yonwin of Aellington dies in battle. The reinforcements from Esterpool arrive by night.
19 December 229 - The second day of the battle of Brindlepool. Drefen's blood bond is revealed when Hogar strikes at him, and instead kills his lieutenant Merefin. Drefen retreats to take on the forces of Esterpool attacking his camp. Ealdorman Leuthere sends the party to the camp to kill Drefen. Vadir is overwhelmed and slain by the Bloodguard. The party cut through Acwulf and other blood-bonded warriors, and Drefen is finally slain by Hogar. Eahfrid learns of Drefen's fall by magic and secretly takes ship, bound for Coelney.
01 January 230 - Leofric's birthday. The party and the surviving Bloodied Eyes take ship from Estencestre to Phalen.
13 January 230 - The party arrive back in Phalen to rumours of impending civil war in Gastony.
Adventure XIX - Scroll Lock
1 February 230 - The party meet with Arianhod and Deoneath at Sigrun's home.
4 February 230 - The Soiled Sisters and the Undercity Watch raid East Phalen, providing the party with a distraction so they can enter the Undercity. In the Undercity, the party are attacked by a group of assassins apparently hired by Haloth of Haragmyne, the Regent's brother. The party progress, defeating the orcish sentries blocking the entrance to the Library. They overcome the heavily locked entrance and are able to retrieve a large number of ancient tomes before proceeding below through a secret passage. The party speak with the Library's bound guardian, the demon Tashqarrazzedar. The party make a deal with the demon that they will free him if he will be banished from this plane for 200 years. The demon swears upon its truename, and the party destroy the fetish binding it to the Library. They take numerous tomes and journals from Manehtar's collection and return to the surface.
Adventure XX - Adverse Camber
5 March 230 - The party set out towards Oswingas with Synne, Maccus and Atol. Synne tells them she is pregnant with Dunstan's child.
13 March 230 - The party arrive at a gathering in Bexcheap. Annis begs Edmund for assistance in preventing her from entering an unwanted marriage. Synne and the party speak to Lady Aethelu and uncover the dark history of the Olthoring clan. Maccus seduces an armsman from Rulburna and learns the reason for Leof's attempt on Ealdorman Felgild's life. Erlene contacts Wulfnoth to warn of a great force of dragonspawn heading towards Oswingas. Wulfnoth sends the party to meet with Erlene, but en route they learn that Lord Renweard has been abducted. The party are able to rescue him, then rendezvous with Erlene. They lead a large group of dragonspawn to an ambush spot and destroy them.
14 March 230 - In the early hours, Erlene and the party rally people to the defence of Oswingas. After sightings of Ealdorman Felgild's banner, they ride to meet with him. They find him engaged in battle with Leof, who kills his father in the struggle. The party are able to force Leof to surrender, and he offers to provide information about Eanfleda's plans and location in exchange for his life. The party return to Bexcheap with Leof and are able to learn that Eanfleda has uncovered a Wyrd in the Camber Hills. After resting, they head into the hills to confront her, with Erlene coming as a guide.
17 March 230 - After several days of hard climbing, the party arrive at the Camber Wyrd. They descend, defeating a group of air elementals defending the entrance. At the Wyrd, Eanfleda sacrifices the life of the dragonspawn High Priest Azraghar and transforms into a winged dragonspawn herself. Leofric kills Eanfleda in the ensuing battle and the party close the Wyrd.
Adventure XXI - Soteriology
5 May 230 - In Gastony, Duke Hrothgar leaves the capital days before King Elfwine's sixteenth birthday, heralding civil war.
29 June 230 - After months as a prisoner, Leof arrives at the party's manor. He hands them a sealed note and explains that he has been sent on a secret mission from the Council, and they are to read the note if he has not returned in a year.
30 June 230 - The party and Wulfnoth meet with one of the southern Changer Elders, who has returned from the Lost-Lands. He says that King Aethelwulf is on the brink of war with Tohringland and that he may be secretly negotiating with Duke Hrothgar about an alliance.
01 July 230 - The Soiled Sister, Sidwell, arrives, asking the party to lend their aid in a mission to rescue slaves east of the river. The party are to go ahead of the Sisters, to clear a long-haunted hall the Sisters intend to use as a base of operations.
04 July 230 - The party cross the river.
05 July 230 - They arrive near to the haunted manor, witnessing horrific visions of a young man in torment at the hands of the orcs. Coming to the place where the young man was apparently tortured, they are attacked by hideous panopticus monsters. Leofric senses a powerful magical residue of demonic origin. Continuing to the hall, they learn that it belonged to a traitorous noble, Horik of the Colding clan, who betrayed Palania to side with the dragon's forces at the time of Caragaur's attack. They find notes that indicate that the tortured young man was Cynefrith of the Valings, the last High King of Palania, and that Horik betrayed his identity to the orcs. They find that Horik's spirit was bound to an amulet by the demon prince, Arkaveshirazidor, who seemingly granted Cynefrith the power to destroy his tormentors. The party destroy the bound amulet and lift the curse on the land.
6 July 230 - Sidwell arrives and explains that they are to infiltrate the former Alanian town of Podolplatz, now known as Toothtown, in the guise of slavers. Their task is to rouse slaves to rebellion and sow dissension among the orc and goblin tribes in preparation for the Soiled Sister raid. The party are forced to leave their magical equipment behind.
8 July 230 - The party arrive at Podolplatz with Sidwell and witness an auction at which numerous magical or historical items are sold. They head out to gather information about the settlement. Learning of a goblin master noted for his lax discipline, they go and spread sedition amongst his slaves. A slave woman, Frigyth, hands Hogar a note asking them to meet her at midnight.
9 July 230 - The party go to meet with Frigyth only to find a goblin woman and an orc waiting for them. They are wary, but learn the orc is Frigyth's son and the goblin his wife, and they are willing to help so Frigyth can win her freedom.
10 July 230 - The party work with Frigyth to hide caches of weapons around the city, but are nearly caught. While fleeing they rescue a wounded man, Burhhelm, who proves to be working for King Aethelwulf. he reveals that the King's cousin Wulfrun has discovered the location of the fabled sword of the Valings, Mage-Breaker, and intends to return it to Aethelwulf so he can proclaim himself High King of Palania.
11 July 230 - The party trick the goblin chancellor, Aukusti, into an ambush and kill him. They then flee Podolplatz in pursuit of Wulfrun.
12 July 230 - The party overtakes a group of mages working for the the Liche of the Witchfort and are able to ambush Wulfrun. They overcome her and the Changers and take Mage-Breaker. After consulting amongst themselves, they decide to destroy the sword to prevent anyone from using it to set themselves up as High King. As this is happening, the Soiled Sisters attack Podolplatz, inflicting heavy damage and rescuing hundreds of slaves.
13 July 230 - The party ride hard back to Podolplatz. They rendezvous with the Soiled Sisters and act as rearguard against the orc and goblin force pursuing them, routing them utterly.
14 July 230 - In the early hours of the morning, the Sisters, the freed slaves, and the party cross the Saltanow.
