The Peoples
Esenvers
The Esenver civilization is located along the western shore of the Aydan Sea and centered on the city of Esenver. Through conquest and assimilation, it came to dominate all shores of the Aydan Sea on two continents, Yagmur and Ilknur.
Compared to the other peoples beyond the shores of the Aydan Sea, they are much paler. The most common form of clothing is a tunic, short sleeves and reach to the knee for the men and long sleeves and reach further than the knee for the women. The children tend to wear simple, belted tunics, wearing an amulet of Arazi.
Ilkers
The people from the ancient civilization comprised of independent city-states which lay along the coast of Ilknur which spread across the Aydan Sea with its colonies. It was an enterprising maritime trading culture that spread across the Ilker Sea for six hundred years. They were framed for their spread of the writing alphabet from which all current Aydan written languages are derived from. However, their dominance came to an end with the conquest of Ilker cities at the hands of Esenver.
Just like the Esenvers, they are pale-skinned. Better educated and advanced, this resulted in high literacy rates so success came easily to the Eastern Esenvers and Ilker merchants. The most common form of clothing is a tunic, short sleeves and reach to the knee for the men and long sleeves and reach further than the knee for the women. The children tend to wear simple, belted tunics with a flowing bracelet of Deniz. Belts, collars and caps are more common.
Salamdeuls
The people of the Island. Its legends suggest they came from the south fleeing from the long lost lands on the black ships during the Upheaval, explaining their slightly darker skin and their strange customs compared to the surrounding cultures of the Aydan Sea. Once composed of nine Great Clans, six Great Clans were suppressed socially, following the Esenver customs and religion while in the Highlands, the three Great Clans keeping to their own ancient ways. Their clothings are in different style. They tend to wear jackets with the men wearing longer jacket with baggy trousers and the women wearing shorter jacket with skirts tied at chest level.. They tend to be tattooed with their Clan symbols. In the case of the Lowlanders however, their clan symbols are presented on the clothings and sword hilts and scabbard after their tattoos were outlawed. The Highlanders are highly martial compared to the Lowlanders.
Yabans
Yabans are the the people inhabiting on the most north western shoreline of the Aydan Sea and widely feared as terrible raiders across the wide areas of Aydan Sea lands. Characterised by their longships, they established communities, conquering many islands across the Aydan Sea. The zenith of the Yabans was during the Fall of Esenvers causing the the lack of organised naval opposition throughout the Aydan Sea. Due to cold bleak lands, they dressed to keep warm and so were normally made from wool, linen and animal skins and wear more layers. Men wore a tunic with trousers while women wore an ankle length shift with a sleeveless overdress, suspended by shoulder straps, fastened by brooches. They also wore cloaks as well.
Phukheans
Phukheans are the name of the refugees from the Sarangerel Hordes. They fled from various states that collapsed under Sarangerel expansion, in particular, the Kingdom of the Phukheans whom in their mountains manage to withstand Sarangerel Hordes for many years after their neighbouring nations fallen. The Phukheans are known to be excellent archers and builders of the castles and walls. Phukheans can be found across the Eastern Esenver Empire although majority of them can be found along the Eastern Range. They settled along the Eastern Ranges and established castles, towns, villages and mines.
To fit in, they tend to follow the fashion of Ilkers although they had their own native style of clothing which are commonly wore by their priests on day to day basic while the rest do so on their festivals or celebrations. Their skin tones are slightly darker just like the Sarangerels. They would stop cutting their hair once they reached the age of 16 leaving them to go long naturally as well take an adult name which they will use for rest of their life.
Sarangerels
The people of Sarangerels grasslands, they had a nomadic and hunter lifestyle and lived a fairly closed life as their migrations tend to be limited by various natural barriers surrounding the Sarangerels Grasslands. The Sarangerel clans only allied with other Sarangerel clans, with which they shared the same language and religion and way of life. This would be an advantage in uniting the people in Sarangerel Grasslands under its first Great Chief. The Sarangerel Empire grew rapidly under his rule and then under his descendants, who sent invasions in every direction.
All Sarangerel people tend to wear long ankle length robe which tied with two belts, a thin leather hidden under the large broad sash that covered the stomach. They also wear trousers under the caftan for the ease of riding. The married women wear headdresses to distinguish themselves from the unmarried women.
