Our Gang of Scoundrels, the Peculiars
Mahin: Mahin Naceri (she uses a bunch of aliases, you can call her Moon if you want) is a willowy, urbane, confident woman from Mistport in Iruvia. She's got coppery skin, lustrous black hair down past her shoulders, confident brown eyes and long, skilful fingers. she was formerly some kind of lawyer or barrister under a different name but she got debarred after using falsified evidence to get several clearly guilty people off the hook. She's good at mixing with high society and talking people into doing things that aren't in their best interest, she has a cover identity as an art critic and she's got an obsessive urge to acquire fine art, particularly paintings and sculptures.
Jackdaw: Arak Aqvir, known to all & sundry as Jackdaw, is a skinny young male with sallow skin and spikey hair which looks badly bleached but is in fact prematurely turning grey. He is twitchy and always seems about to move. His clothes, which seem slightly too tight as if made for someone shorter, are worn and unwashed, marked with stains and acid burns. All are covered by a long black coat which he rarely removes, and in whose deep pockets he keeps an arcane mix of objects, both the useful and the merely intriguing.
Heavy protective boots complete this less than enticing ensemble. Shambling past on the dark streets with a knitted cap pulled low over his hair, Jackdaw attracts little attention from passers-by, until he looks up, and they see his disturbing eyes - a strange orange-brown with catlike, almost slitted pupils, betraying his Tycherosi heritage.
Arak/Jackdaw was brought to Duskwall by his father, and being gifted with a quick mind and ferocious inquisitiveness became a scholar, but his ambitions came to grief after being found indulging in forbidden experiments.
Milos: Milos is a weary Severosi tracker, from the land of windswept plains. A brown-skinned and dark haired man who tend to dress in a dark clothings while retaining a look of a military. He spent some time with the military and mercenaries which enable him to keep his weapons. His skins where not covered by his clothes bore some scars of the fights he has been in when the fight came too close for his liking. His long rifle is his pride and joy as it is covered in strange symbol of honour of the fights he was in. On his shoulder is a Raven he named “Sooty.” which acts as his only companion through the dark time. His previous company was demobilised at Duskwall. With no new opening available especially after a string of mysterious death that have absolutely nothing to do with him, he was forced to turn to crime to find his living in this dark new place.
Allies and Contacts
Fitz: A collector of rare things based in Nightmarket, with some surprising "acquaintances".
Dancer: A member of the Wraiths, planning an operation with the Peculiars.
Rivals and Targets
Ghassan Kardera: An Iruvian diplomat from the city of Kethrys, with a manor in Nightmarket. He has a child in the school of sword arts run by the Red Sashes.
---Rasul: His pompous steward. Charmed by Mahin (in disguise as Nousha, a relative of Ghassan).
