An IH class I thought up one night at work while bored. Partially will fulfill my desire for an int based front-line character. Will be modifying this as I continue working on it. IT IS NOT FINISHED YET. Shut up... Level 2 coming soon!
HD: 1d4+6 Skills: Craftknights gain access to the Athletics skill group and one other of their choosing that cannot be changed once it is chosen. Craftknights also gain free ranks in the Craft skill, as described below. Skill points/level: 6+int modifier (x4 at 1st level) Feats: Craftknights gain good mastery progression with one of either Power, Finesse, or Projectile feat masteries, as well as good mastery progression with either the Defense or Tactics feat masteries, and average with the other. These choices cannot be changed after they are chosen. Class Features: Weapon and Armor Proficiencies: Craftknights are proficient with all simple and martial weapons, and with light and medium armor, and shields (but not tower shields).
Weaponcraft: Craftknights gain access to the special Craft (Weaponcraft) skill that allows them to create weapons. This skill grants you ranks in Craft equal to your Craftknight level +3, but you can use these ranks only to create and repair weapons. To expand into other Craft areas, you must purchase the skill as normal using your skill points.
Efficient Packing: In order to carry the materials for their craft, Craftknights learn to shoulder heavy loads fairly easily as part of their training. When determining how much equipment you can carry, use either your Strength score, or your Intelligence + your Strength modifier, whichever is higher.
Craft Pool: Craftknights are masters at making weapons skillfully and efficiently. The Craft Pool represents their ability to make weapons using salvaged materials or just sheer ingenuity. You gain craft tokens by spending time in an urban or ruined environment (or anywhere else the GM feels that craft materials could be found). For every 4 hours you spend looking for cast-off materials, you gain 1 craft token. You can also gain craft tokens by breaking down weapons. Make a Craft (Weaponcraft) or applicable craft skill check (DC equals the DC to craft that weapon, see the Craft skill). On a success, you salvage 1 craft token from the weapon, but it is destroyed in the process. You gain an extra craft token by every 5 points by which your check exceeds the DC, to a maximum of 1 token/10gp in the weapon's market price (minimum 1 craft token). A failed check results in no craft tokens and destroys the weapon. When making a weapon, you can spend craft tokens to reduce the cost of the materials, or increase your craft skill. Each token can reduce the cost of the raw materials by 5sp. You can reduce the raw materials cost to 0sp, in which case you make the weapon from salvaged materials, but not below. Alternatively, each craft token spent provides a +1 bonus on your Craft (Weaponcraft) skill for the duration of the crafting (That is, each craft check made until the weapon is completed), to a maximum bonus equal to your Craftknight level. You can have a maximum number of Craft tokens equal to your Craftknight level + 10.
