I was checking the site one day, and one of those random banners up at the site apparently thought that an add for the Christian Network was appropriate, instead of the usual M:tG or related things.

I had that a while ago too, I think it's probably because the New Coast board has a topic called 'Religion'. It's not as weird as the ad for furries I had that time...

The only thing that might be causing that could be my Xiaoshin... but here's a more appropriate one: Alien Adoption Program.

There it is again! I presume that's the one you've been getting Chris. On the other hand, I did very quickly just see a banner advert for 'Lovecraft Music' while I entered this thread...

Lucky you. I keep getting the 'boring' ads about videogames... As for the 'Lovecraft Music' thing - might be caused by having a Cosmichorror among us...

I think it's actually because this thread is called 'oddities' and it links that to Lovecraft.

the thread is actually called 'oddites' which sound like something weird from another dimension so maybe that's it - along the lines of cenobites perhaps

I, meanwhile, am getting adverts for obscure political parties.

Too lazy to take a screenshot...but there's a 'VIP Magic - Real spells' banner ad which leads to 'Fearless Mage Tamerlan' website, offering various magical services, including the amusingly(or horribly, depending on how you look at it) named 'brutal love spells'. Pretty hilarious.
