Alright, so the next two weeks I'm going to be running a short Song of Ice and Fire campaign to test those rules and give us time to finish all the out of session stuff for the New Coast.
The game is set near the beginning of A Game of Thrones. Your characters are all servants, retainers, or family to Lord Cannis Rathing, a river-lord who lost most of his lands and all of his sons fighting for the Targaryens during Robert's Rebellion. The majority of Rathing's lands were given to House Carrick of Redgate, the enemies of the Rathings who fought for Robert, leaving Lord Cannis with only his castle, Palestone. Since the Rebellion, he has spent most of his time brooding there. The Usurper has just called a tournament in King's Landing, however, and Lord Cannis decides he wants to leave Palestone and go to King's Landing, to prove to his enemies that he's still alive, and hopefully see some of his men knock the Usurper's dogs on their arses.
We're using the standard character creation rules, with the only mechanical restriction being that you aren't able to have a Status higher than 3 (since Lord Cannis is Status 4 and is your liege.)

I was considering an older knight heavily invested in fighting, but it seems Davide and Aagon are both planning on fighters as well, so I may go with another concept. Will stay posted.

Ok, had an idea, but it hinges on two factors. One, would it be possible for the Nemesis drawback to work the other way, in that you have a deep grudge against someone else? And two, using a benefit that sacrifices bonus dice for an effect (like the various weapon style benefits), would it be possible to burn a destiny to point to first convert those bonus dice into test dice, and then activate the benefit? or otherwise come out with that result? I'm a little doubtful myself, but if you allow it, I've got a grouchy old knight looking to go out in a blaze of glory ready to go. If not, I'll think of something else.
