It was worth a try...I realised after about five minutes of looking at the table that it would have to be pick the highest.

Sure you can use a destiny point, but only the acting steward (ie you in this case, aagon).
I meant to post last night but my Internet died. Assuming it continues to work I'll be posting this evening.

Look forward to it when you get back. Just so you know, I'll spend a dp for the 23 roll to change a bonus die to a regular die (can't remember the correct term and too tired to care enough to look it up). That will change the 23 to a 27 and give us a blessing instead of a curse.

Ok, due to spending of the destiny point:
You managed to recruit many of the refugees to build new homes and buildings, attracting further immigrants. Influence reduction has been replaced by a 2 pop gain.

Ok, so I'm assuming you've been working on securing the marriage for Irma, but this event happens in the middle of that intrigue. Depending on what you do with the opportunity, you may affect how the intrigue plays out (the Tharons might frown on an attack on the Brentons, but Brynden as lord might be better able to fight against your intrigue as a stronger leader).
You can discuss what you want to do about the Brentons IC, and have more out of character discussion here. Once you've come to a conclusion I'll post a thread for the marriage intrigue, as well as prep for other intrigues/warfare/etc relating to your actions with the Brentons.
